The Santa Cruz Half Marathon takes runners along California’s most breathtaking coastline. Starting near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the course goes south through seaside neighborhoods and into Capitola Village before turning back toward Santa Cruz for a beachside finish.
It’s a route that captures everything Santa Cruz stands for!

HALF MARATHON
Fast, scenic, and surf-soaked: the Santa Cruz Half starts near the Wharf/Boardwalk, runs the coastline past the harbor and East Cliff ocean views, taps into the stoke at Pleasure Point, then loops through Capitola before flying back to a beach finish at Cowell’s. A half marathon that feels like a victory lap along the Pacific.

FAQS
All participants are required to pick up their race packet at the Race Expo prior to race day, unless they've purchased Race Day Packet Pick-Up.
Participants must bring their ID and QR Code confirmation email to expedite the
pick up process. Confirmation emails will be emailed to participants the week of the race before the Expo opens.
Early Packet Pick-Up:
Friday, October 23rd 4:00pm – 6:30pm

Saturday, October 24th 10:00am – 4:00pm
Depot Park, 119 Center StreetRace Day Packet Pick-Up on Sunday is available for all distances for a fee.

If you are unable to attend the Race Expo, you may send a proxy to pick up your race packet on your behalf.
Please send your proxy with a copy of your driver's license (a digital picture is OK) and your QR code confirmation email to expedite the pick up process. Confirmation emails are sent the week of the race. Proxies may only pick up packets for up to 3 people.
